A Ketogenic Diet also causes reduction in blood sugar and insulin levels, which may have added health benefits!

Although the Diet is quite beneficial, it may also have some side effects too. A person may contract a Keto Flu, which may result in sleep issues, increased hunger, nausea, poor energy and mental function. Staying in a Keto Diet may have long-term negative effects, such as Low protein in blood, extra fat in the Liver, Kidney Stones and so on.

So, what is the bottom-line of following a Keto Diet?

A Keto Diet can be great for people who are overweight, have Diabetes and for those who want to improve their metabolic health. It may not be suitable for people who wish to gain muscles. Thus, one may consult a professional before adopting a full-fledged Keto Diet!
